Q: Why should I register?
A: Registration is free and gives you full access to all the facilities on the site.

Q: How much does it cost to be a member of www.kevado.com?
A: It costs absolutely nothing to be a member of kevado.com.

Q: What do I do if I forget or lose my password?
A: On the ‘Sign In’ page you will see ‘Please click here if you have forgotten your password’, in white writing. Simply click on it and then follow the instructions and your password will be sent to you in an e-mail.

Q: How do I upload photos, videos and music files?
A: After you have signed go to the home page. There you will see on the lower middle menu the options: ‘Photo’ and ‘Upload Multimedia’.
Use the ‘Photo’ option to post pictures and the ‘Upload Multimedia’ option to upload videos and music files.

Q: I have tried to upload a video of music file but kevado.com won’t let me. What do I do?
A: First check that the file size and format are correct. The video file types are: wav, mpeg, x-ms-wmv, avi. Maximum file size is 4mb.
You can check the size and type of the file you wish to update by looking at the properties of the file you want to upload. To do this point your mouse over the file and right click the mouse, this will bring up that files menu. At the bottom of this menu you will ‘Properties’, left click on this and you will be able to see the file type and size.

Q: What do I do if I feel that I am being abused by another member
? A: If you feel that you are receiving inappropriate behaviour, such as receiving private messages, from another member then simply go to that member’s profile page where you can add them to your ‘Blocked List’. Then they will no longer be able to contact you.
On your ‘Member Home’ page you will have a ‘Blocked List’ where you can review member who you have blocked. Also if you make a mistake and block the wrong member you can correct that by unblocking them.
If you are being abused in the chat rooms please contact the Site administrator and give full details of what is happening. We take abuse very seriously and we will investigate and take the appropriate steps to stop the abuse immediately. We will also inform you of what action has been taken.

Q: how do I create a profile?
A: After you have signed in, go to your profile page by clicking ‘MY Profile’ on the main menu bar. On the sub menu bar you will see. ‘Edit Profile, Build Profile, Profile HTML and Preview Profile’. Then go to ‘Edit Profile’. There you will see all the fields that you can fill in to make up your profile. You can add as much or as little as you wish, also you can go back and change it as often as you wish.,
Note: YOU MUST REMEMBER TO CLICK ON THE GREEN SAVE BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM OF THE ‘EDIT ‘PROFILE’ EACH TIME YOU ALTER THE INFORMATION IN THE ‘EDIT PROFILE’ PAGE OR THAT INFORMAYTION WILL BE LOST.

Q: Do I have to fill in all the sections on my ‘Profile Page’?
A: No you don’t. You can fill in a much or as little as you like as you can always go back later and add or change the information you have posted.
Please note: when changing or adding to your profile information you MUST remember to press the save button at the bottom of the page, or the changes or additions to your profile information will be lost.

Q: How do I build my profile page?
A: Building your profile page is very easy. In the ‘My Profile’, go to ‘Build Profile’. There you will see some large boxes with numbers in the centre, X3, X4 and so on.
On the right of the page in a gray box you will see all the elements of the profile you have filled in. ‘My Details’, My Photos’, etc. You than then drag the profile elements into the numbered boxes and build your profile.
To see what your profile will look like to others go to ‘Preview Profile’ section. If you want to change how your profile is looking then simply go back to ‘Build Profile and change it.
To rearrange profile elements just click on the small orange box in the top right hand corner of each element that you want to move and that element will return to the grey box on the right of the page and from there you can put it in another section of the profile page.
You can change the look of your profile page like this as often as you wish.

Q: On my profile page there is a section that says ‘Profile HTML’, what is this?
A: HTML is a programming code. If you go into this area you will see a number of boxes that you put HTML code into personalise your profile page.
You will find lots of free HTML code on the internet for games and special effects that you can cut and paste into these boxes but you have to experiment to find the right ones to fit.
If you don’t like what the effect is then simply delete the code in the box and put some other code in. Have fun with your experiments.
Remember that after each change you MUST click the orange ‘Save’ button at the very bottom of the page or any changes that you have made will be lost. This INCLUDES the deleting of code from the boxes.
